May lower cholesterol levels
According to a new study, chromium may help lower cholesterol levels. The study found that chromium supplements helped reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and total cholesterol levels in people with high cholesterol. (3)
The study included 60 participants who were divided into two groups. One group received a daily chromium supplement while the other group received a placebo. After eight weeks, the group that took the supplement had significantly lower LDL and total cholesterol levels than the placebo group.
