Aids in digestion
There are a variety of vitamins that aid in digestion. Vitamin A is important for a healthy digestive tract lining. It also helps the body to produce bile, which is necessary for breaking down fats. Vitamin D is necessary for absorption of calcium and phosphorus, both of which are needed for proper muscle function in the digestive system. Vitamin E helps to prevent oxidation of fats in the body, which can lead to inflammation.
Vitamin C helps to break down food and absorb nutrients from it. Vitamin B3 aids in the production of stomach acid, which helps to break down food.
