Slows down the progression of AIDS
Vitamin B2 has been shown to slow down the progression of AIDS. In a study of HIV-positive patients, those who took vitamin B2 supplements had a slower decline in CD4+ T cells than those who did not take the supplements. CD4+ T cells are a type of white blood cell that fights infection. The findings suggest that riboflavin may help delay the onset of AIDS symptoms.
Vitamin B2 is a safe and inexpensive way to help slow down the progression of AIDS. If you are HIV-positive, talk to your doctor about whether taking riboflavin supplements is right for you.
