What Is Quercetin, and What Are Its Benefits?
A new study has found that quercetin may have health benefits. The study looked at the effects of quercetin on mice. The mice were given either a high or low dose of it, and the researchers found that the mice who received the high dose had better blood sugar control and less inflammation than the mice who received the low dose.
While in depth research is needed to confirm these findings in humans, they suggest that quercetin may be beneficial and has several health benefits, including;
Protect against heart diseases
Studies have shown that quercetin can help to reduce the risk of both heart attack and stroke. It does this by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, which are two major contributing factors to cardiovascular disease.
