Chemical sensitivity
Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) is a common complaint in people suffering from fibromyalgia. Some researchers suggest that that both these diseases come under an umbrella term “central sensitivity syndromes.” This is because of the fact that both the disorders involve alteration in degree of sensitization in brain and spinal cord. The central nervous system becomes hyper-responsive to external stimuli such as light, noise and temperature.
