Problems with Two-Way Conversation
Autistic children are normally found to be self-absorbed in their own world. They have inadequate ability to interact with others. Children suffering from autism may have flawed language skills. They fail to understand others and vice versa. Their poor non-verbal skills such as hand gestures, eye contact and facial expressions adds to their misery.
Intellectual and social development plays a key role in developing language and social skills in children. Although, most of the children with ASD may not be able to communicate using speech or language but it is quite possible for an autistic child to talk about specific topics in great detail. It is important for parents and doctor to recognize these issues as early as possible so the treatment can be started immediately.
