Repetitive Movements
Repetitive behaviors and movements are one of the cardinal signs of autism. A child may show repetitive movements with objects such as toys. Repeated body movements such as rocking and hand-flapping are also commonly seen in children with autism. This kind of behavior is known as ‘stimming’ or self-stimulating behavior.
