Poor non-verbal conversation
Children with ASD find it tough to use gestures or other non-verbal signs such as pointing to an object or waving at someone. They often evade eye contact with another person as they are unable to convey message to another person. Many children with ASD become irritated and depressed as they are unable to send message to another person due to their poor verbal and non-verbal skills. They may show vocal outbursts, aggressive and self-abusive behavior in such situations.
