Melanoma in the eye
Also called ocular melanoma, eye melanomas often occurs in the uvea. It is a layer beneath the sclera (white of the eye). It can be diagnosed during an eye examination by an expert person.
An eye melanoma may cause changes in the vision such as double vision, haziness and refractive errors.
