Sunburn
Sunburn and melanoma is also linked, according to some recent studies by renowned cancer research institutions around the world. A 2016 study by American Cancer Research showed that people who had sunburn are twice as likely to get melanoma than individuals who have not. The risk becomes higher if a person has had sunburn for several times in his/her life. The risk is seen in people of all age groups – not just in childhood or teenage years.
