Inflammation and Oozing
People with melanomas or other immune-suppressing diseases are more prone to get bacterial and viral infections. This causes local inflammation of the skin around the mole and can lead to red, swollen skin. If left untreated, there can be an accumulation of pus and dead skin cells in the moles that may often ooze.
