Olive oil and olives
Olive fruits and leaves contain compounds called biophenols, the most abundant source of fruit and vegetable antioxidants in the human diet.
Several animal studies have shown that in the treatment of IBD, biophenols are effective as an anti-inflammatory agent. For humans, this doesn’t necessarily mean the same, but olives are delicious and good for your heart.
