Stages of Atopic Dermatitis

Eczema or atopic dermatitis is divided into three stages, and the duration of these stages varies from person to person. The rashes can start from and end at any stage. These stages do not represent the severity of the rashes. Following is the description of these stages.

Acute stage 

This stage shows just the beginning of the rash. The person starts to feel itching at the first sage, and it happens even before the rash is apparent. As the condition grows, other systems begin to appear. Some of the significant characteristics if the acute stage include extreme redness and intense itching. Bumps start to form on the skin. The bumps can get filled with fluids that form fluid-filled blisters, which can ooze. Swelling can occur, and the person feels pain in the body. The area of rash can also give the sensation of heat as compared to other areas. This stage s also called a flare-up. Many atopic dermatitis stages can be caused by contact with allergens, or it can be a rash develop due to the reaction by a primary infection. The condition of atopic dermatitis can be mild or can get severe if not properly treated.

Normally hydrocortisone creams or antihistamine creams are suggested to suppress the activity of immune stare and soothe the symptoms.
