Antibiotics
Antibiotics play a very important role in fighting multiple types of bacterial infections. Doctors usually prescribe antibiotic creams if the bacterial infection is also emerging on the skin. The open sore or cracks contain damaged skin cells, making that area of the skin sensitive and prone to infection. When bacteria attacks in the damaged skin, bacterial infection occurs, which can be very harmful to the body; therefore, antibacterial cream is used. Oral antibiotics can also be given for a short period to treat the infection.
