Irritants
Some studies have illustrated that the skin of people with atopic dermatitis has a lower level of fatty acids, which can contribute to low moisture levels in the skin, making them more sensitive to different kinds of chemicals and irritants. Although soaps and detergents are not a significant cause of dermatitis, chances of skin infection and rash cannot be ignored. These drops and laundry detergents are packed with serious chemicals and can cause a severe skin reaction. Preservatives, fragrances, dyes, and other chemicals present in detergents can cause rashes on the skin. The people with sensitive skin get rashes and inflammation on first exposure to any such detergent. Detergents also contain surfactants that are responsible for removing dirt and oil particles and washing them. Harsh surfactants can also cause irritation to the sun. Even though the possibility of atopic dermatitis from these soaps and detergents is very minute, but if your skin is sensitive, you should be careful while using these products. Small children having sensitive skin are more problems with skin infections. If the baby is facing rash-like symptoms, check either that are of the body has touched washed clothes or not.
