Pain that gets better after changing positions
For some patients certain positions can provide comfort from the lower back pain depending on the underlying cause of pain in that area. Moreover, the changing of positions also helps in the accurate diagnosis of the problematic area thus ruling out the areas which do not produce pain. For instance in the case of spinal stenosis normal walking might be difficult and can cause severe pain. Instead of walking straight by leaning forward with the support of something such as a shoping cart might help in reducing the pain. The changing of positions also help in the identification of the location or underlying cause of low back pain.
