Myelogram or CT scan
A myelogram or CT scan aids in providing a cross-sectional image of the spinal cord. In the computer tomograpgy or CT scan the doctor’s uses x-ray on the spine and the computer uses this radiation to reformat into a 3D image. The SD image allows detailed information to the doctor to look closely at the lower back with different angles. In some cases, a myelogram accompanies the CT scan to give the image of the spine more clarity. In the myelogram scanning, a dye injects around the root of the nerves to detect the spinal structures.
