Diphencyprone
Diphencyprone is the most common topical immunotherapy drug for the treatment of alopecia areata. This drug works by stimulating hair growth in affected areas. Diphencyprone is helpful for advanced forms of alopecia areata, i.e., Alopecia Universalis and alopecia totalis. It causes allergy to the skin, and hence white blood cells accumulate at the skin to fight against inflammation. The reduction in inflammation of hair follicles promotes hair regrowth in bald areas.
