Kidney Dialysis

Kidney patients who have gone through more than five years of dialysis are at higher risk of acquiring amyloidosis.

Chronic inflammatory disease:

People having a chronic inflammatory disease like rheumatoid arthritis, peptidic ulcer, asthma, and Crohn’s disease are more susceptible to getting amyloidosis.

Other auto-immune diseases:

10 to 15% of the people suffering from multiple myeloma are at higher risks of acquiring secondary or AA amyloidosis.
