Circulatory management
Circulatory management

The dilation of vessels, and increased permeability of vessels as an effect mediated by histamine has been explained above. The result of these two factors can cause circulatory fluid deficit. Blood volume directly correlates with heart function. In order to replenish circulatory volume, an intravenous line is secured in all cases of anaphylaxis. Most commonly, normal saline solution is infused to compromise for the fluid loss. Normal saline poses no serious adverse effects. Circulatory management is meant to secure blood volume, and restore blood pressure within normal ranges.
