Fatigue
As anxiety is explained above as intense brain thinking and physical functions also enhanced, it is a surprise that it may also be accompanied by fatigue. Fatigue is the cumulative symptom of all the hyperactive physical symptoms. Anxious mind can drain all energy and result in mental and emotional fatigue. The patients may worry extensively about a project and in the end find themselves too drained to perform. The increased muscle tone in anxiety attack is also followed by lax muscles.
Sometimes, it can be linked to sleep deprivation in anxiety, but fatigue can also occur as a solitary symptom even in patients getting a good night’s rest.
