Hearing Loss
Like all sensory functions, nerves are also responsible for carrying the sound from the ears and interpreting that into useful information. Hearing loss can occur in any brain tumor, which goes on to press on the eighth nerve. However, it is especially attributed to the acoustic neuroma, which is a rare form of brain tumor involving this nerve responsible for maintaining balance and perceive hearing. It can progressively involve both ears and worsen from simple buzzing in the ears to complete hearing loss.
