A cerebral angiography is used to produce images of the blood vessels of the human brain. It shows which artery supplies blood to the tumor, and how near or far the tumor is located from the major arteries. It comprises of X-rays which produce images and a dye consisting of iodine is used for better pictures. It is an invasive procedure in which a catheter is injected into an arm or leg and is further guided to the brain for examining the problematic area in the brain. It also helps the doctor while conducting surgeries.
