Shortness of Breath

A generalized shortness of breath can also be a symptom of breast cancer. This can happen because of the size and location of the tumor or development inside the breast or along the chest wall. If the cancer has spread (metastasize) to the lungs, this can most certainly cause shortness of breath. It can often be accompanied by dry, “hacking” cough or wheezing. In addition, these symptoms are not always an indication of breast cancer, but they should be taken seriously when paired with one or more of the other early warning signs.
