Bronchodilators
Bronchodilators are medications that allow the lungs to relax and avoid narrowing of the airways. These will help with COPD and asthma wheezing.
There are two main types of bronchodilators: short-acting (also known as rescue inhalers) and long-acting bronchodilators.
Short-acting bronchodilators can help avoid asthma or COPD attack by instantly opening the airways.
Long-acting bronchodilators tend to open the airways and reduce the frequency over the long term.
Bronchodilators can be used at home, as needed. However, they should be obtained from a licensed physician or pulmonologist.
