Make Peace With Pollen
Once plants bloom, pollen is released. It usually peaks in late spring and early summer – from mid-August to the first frost. For people with asthma, plants that are pollinated by the wind are much more of a problem than those pollinated by insects. As pollen can’t escape, learn how to control your sensitivity to this powdery allergen.
Do not cut grass or even avoid being outside while the grass is being cut. Stay away from your windows as possible (pollen can get through screens too) and use an air conditioner to cool your home in warm weather. There are also room air purifiers that can purify the recirculated air, eliminate all kinds of pollutants that are trapped in the air, and clean the air by going through it.
