Atopy and Asthma
Atopy is a genetic tendency to develop body conditions like eczema, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, and asthma. Atopy causes increased sensitivity to common allergens, especially food and airborne particles.
Asthma occurs in some kids with eczema or atopic dermatitis. Certain findings indicate that adults may have more serious and chronic asthma with atopic dermatitis.
