Issues with taste and smell
One of the major consequences of a concussion is the loss of sense of smell and taste in a large number of people. Loss of smell and taste affects almost 25 percent of the people after concussion. The loss of taste generally follows the loss of smell which is mainly due to the damage to olfactory nerve, the brain, the nose, or the nasal passages.
