Bananas

Unripe or under-ripped bananas can cause constipation, while fully ripen bananas are good for relieving constipation. Unripe bananas are rich in starch, and the body finds it difficult to digest all of that starch. Bananas contain dietary fiber; mostly, the pectin form is present, but if someone is already suffering from dehydration, this fiber will draw water from the intestines. Drawing of extra water from the stools in the colon by the fiber leads to hard and dry stools, which is difficult to pass. Moreover, there is a lot of straining to pass out the stools.
