DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS:Symptoms, Signs, Causes, Diagnosis,Risk Factors,Types and Treatments

Syndromes

Certain medical syndromes that alter and impair the blood flow in the veins can also increase the risk of DVT. These include May-Thurner syndrome, which favors DVT in the pelvis region, Thoracic outlet syndrome, and Paget–Schroetter syndrome, which alter the circulation in the neck area and increase the likelihood of blood clot formation. An individual with such syndrome should follow the medical advice to avoid DVT.
