Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)
DVT can result in chronic venous insufficiency, which is a long-term condition associated mainly with lower extremity DVT. In CVI, the blood stays in the leg’s veins and does not flow back to the heart leads to edema and pain in the leg.
