Moderate dehydration
Drop in body mass by 5-9% due to fluid loss is termed as moderate dehydration. It has the following symptoms.
Low blood pressure
Water makes up a major chunk of body mass and blood volume. Dehydration consequently, can cause decreased volume of blood. Low blood pressure known as hypotension is a manifestation of acute dehydration; low blood volume exerts a decreased level of pressure on the walls of the vessels. Hypotension also leads to dizziness and muscle weakness.
