Cold extremities

The reason behind this manifestation is, decreased blood volume in dehydration. As low blood volume makes it difficult to maintain blood flow to all parts of the body, the body switches the blood to vital organs only and compromises the supply of muscles in the extremities. Blood is a temperature regulator. The decreased perfusion can hence lead to cold limbs and may even cause chills. It can also impair temperature regulation in response to environmental fluctuations.
