Vomiting
Vomiting involves expulsion of gastric content through the mouth. Persistent vomiting in infectious diseases can deplete water and electrolyte stores of the body. It can also make stomach upset and irritate the moth and food canal to cause food and water avoidance, further deteriorating the water balance. Vomiting in children and babies should be properly managed as they are physiologically more prone to develop dehydration.
