Acute management
- Make sure the patient is in cooler surroundings; indoors.
- Help the patient lie down on the back, and raise the feet a little.
- Check for vitals of the patient; monitor blood pressure, pulse rate and strength, and respiratory patency.
- Give fluids if the patient is conscious, shift to hospital if the patient is unconscious.
- Maintain proper aeration to cool down the temperature and inhibit sweating.
