Foods to eat
Despite the fact that eating if you have diarrhea might seem strange, certain foods can relieve diarrhea symptoms and prevent worsening health problems. Keep your stool firm with low-fiber “BRAT” foods. Included are:

- Rice (white)
- Applesauce
You can usually tolerate the following foods when you have diarrhea:
- Oatmeal
- Potatoes boiled or baked (with skins removed)
- Baked chicken without the skin
- Chicken soup (also useful for rehydrating)
