The prevalence of Dupuytren’s contracture is more common among the people having the ethnicity of Northern Europe and Norway. It is very rare in the people who are not of European ethnicity. Most Norwegians and people residing or born in the northernmost parts of Scandinavia suffer mostly from the condition of Dupuytren’s contracture. The cause behind the racial differentiation among the different individuals from different areas is not known as it is a complex disease. The British, south Asian and mixed Americans have the lesser possibility of getting Dupuytren’s contracture, but the chances of getting Dupuytren’s contracture are moderate for the East Asian populations.
