Over-the-counter pain relievers

The use of over-the-counter medications for relieving pain during the menstrual period is very helpful in managing endometriosis. OTC pain relievers such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) offer pain relief in a shorter time. Try to eat some food before taking these kinds of drugs and prevent ulcers or stomach upset. Avoid using OTC pain medications for not longer than one week, resulting in some side effects. The most commonly used medications for pain relief in endometriosis patients are naproxen and ibuprofen; these are easily available in every drug store and pharmacy.
