Abnormal taste in the mouth is the kink in the same chain of altered sensory perception. The patients may feel a metallic taste in mouth. These symptoms are a result of hyper-perception by the brain. It can also be explained as the brain becoming sensitive to perceive such stimulus without the presence of any real source of the stimulus.
