Loss of bladder and bowel control
Another example of uncontrolled muscle action manifests as loss of control of bladder and bowel. Altered sensory perception, and consciousness can also lead to such a presentation. After a muscle spasm in the seizure, a phase of muscle relaxation may ensue. It is in this phase that the sphincters of the bladder and bowel may relax, resulting in urinary and fecal incontinence.
