Smoking can damage blood flow in several ways and can lead to a variety of health issues including stroke, heart attack, and other heart diseases. Frequent smoking for longer duration can also lead to erectile dysfunction in men. An erection is possible only when blood vessels around the penis enlarge and pool with blood. Smoking can inhibit blood vessels surrounding the penis to function properly and relax which means that an erection never happens. While more research is happening, but fewer studies reveal that there is a strong link between a lower sex drive and nicotine in men. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, tobacco use is a warning sign for men as it can negatively affect the fertility in men. Male smokers are likely to suffer from the risk of infertility by two folds in comparison to the non-smoker men. Infertility arises due to smoking by first damaging the DNA present in sperm cells which ultimately cause problems with fertilization. Moreover, the chemicals present in tobacco products such as nicotine, carbon monoxide, and cyanide  speed up the loss of sperms in smokers.
