Good hand posture
Good hand posture helps to keep the wrist bones and median nerve in place. In carpal tunnel syndrome, a wrist splint is a good way to start as it keeps the wrist straight, so does the median nerve. Avoid working for prolonged periods because it compresses the nerve even more. During sleep, avoid bending your wrist under your body, and sleep on the non-affected side may help with reducing median nerve compression.
