Everything You Need to Know About Chronic Pain Syndrome, Symptoms, Causes, and Treatment

Headaches

A patient who has headaches for at least 15 days per month is said to have a chronic daily headache (CDH), a subtype of chronic pain syndrome. CDH doesn’t mean a specific type of headache; rather a descriptive term applied to various headache types such as migraine, cluster headaches, hemicrania continua, tension-type, and idiopathic intracranial hypotension.

Over 80 percent of patients suffering from chronic daily headache syndrome have co-existing psychiatric problems such as depression or anxiety (or both).
