Being fatigued is a feeling of lack of energy and tiredness that may accompany drowsiness and feeling sleepy. When you are fatigued due to exhaustion or some medical condition, you have no energy and motivation.

Although it’s a common symptom of many mild to severe medical conditions, chronic pain syndrome causes long-standing fatigue. You should always consider common causes of fatigue before considering it as a symptom of chronic pain syndrome such as

  • Taking medications such as sedatives or antidepressants
