Vascular Dementia
When, due to narrowing or obstruction of blood vessels, the oxygen supply to the brain is limited, some brain cells are weakened or die. This thing happens in a condition called vascular dementia.
The symptoms can happen suddenly after a major stroke. And, because of a series of small strokes, they may develop over time.
Vascular dementia, also known as subcortical vascular dementia, can be caused by disease affecting the small blood vessels deep within the brain. Vascular dementia symptoms vary and may overlap with Alzheimer’s disease symptoms. Most people have trouble solving or organizing problems, thinking fast and focusing.
