Bone loss
Untreated gum diseases such as gingivitis, periodontitis, and gum infections can lead to more severe symptoms such as bone loss. This early onset inflammation and swelling will progress, and if left unchecked for a considerable time, fed by the various sources of sugars and carbohydrates from our diet, or superinfected by other bacteria, it will cause a more aggressive bone loss.
