Rheumatoid arthritis
It is a condition that causes inflammation of the joints, especially small joints of the hand, but it can affect the vertebral joints and hip as well. The inflammation of the vertebrae and the hip erodes the bone and narrows the spinal canal along with irritation of the nerves. Both conditions cause compression on the nerve and irritation, leading to sciatica.
