Some immunizations, including tetanus, diphtheria, and a cellular pertussis, can show symptoms of fever. Symptoms usually appear within 12 hours after the shot was given. It is normal to have redness or fever on day one after the shots, showing that the vaccine is working. Fever is considered a normal reaction to the vaccine.

Other than these various parasite infections, urinary tract infection and appendicitis can also cause fever. Some conditions, like malignant tumors or reactions to certain drugs, can raise the body’s temperature. Some illegal substances, like Ecstasy prescription drugs like antidepressants, can raise the temperature of the body.

Tissue ischemia, a condition in which blood is not supplied to particular tissues in need, shows fever symptoms.  An endocrine disorder, brain injury, or cancer are some other causes of fever.
