Pseudogout
Pseudogout is a condition that is easily confused with gout. The symptoms of this joint condition are very similar to those of an acute gout attack.
The significant difference between pseudogout and gout is that the joints are hurt by crystals of calcium phosphate rather than uric acid crystals. Pseudogout requires different treatment to gout.
