Heavy menstrual periods
Women with bleeding disorders face heavy menstrual periods than usual. Periods that last longer than usual with heavy bleeding is also known as menorrhagia. Massive bleeding can affect the daily activities of life and can last longer than a week. Treatment depends on the type of hemophilia and most often involves hormone therapy and the medications used to control periods.
